Physical DescriptionOpaque white, deep amethyst (appearing black), colorless, transparent amethyst, green, blue, blue-green, yellow-amber, ruby pink, orange non-lead glasses; blown and hot worked, rims ground and polished flat. Group of five candlesticks of varying height and color combinations each comprised of a short cylindrical transparent section to hold candle (same approximate size on each candlestick) with rim ground and polished flat, connected by a thick colorless patty to mid-section (of varying lengths) of nearly opaque white cased in colorless with narrow vertical stripes appearing black, second thick colorless patty connects stem to hollow conical foot of transparent color cased in colorless with colorless rim; narrow rough pontil; color combinations: (A) green candle holder, blue base; (B) amethyst, yellow/amber; (C) ruby pink, amethyst; (D) orange, blue-green; (E) blue, ruby pink; inscribed in script around pontil: "Chatham Glass Co. 1994 (example "A" marked 1993)".Provenance
