Physical DescriptionFragment. Opaque deep purple (appearing almost black), with opaque white trail. Blown; applied, dragged, marvered; gilded. Fragment of vessel. Lower neck cylindrical; inner edge of shoulder splays. Decoration is applied and gilded. Applied ornament consists of spirally wound trail, dragged upward to create adjoining rows of festoons, and marvered. Gilding consists of small scrolls and vegetal motifs in spaces between festoons.
