Interpretive Notes
The Bakewell firm is thought to have made several designs of pressed glass panes. These were used in interior doors and in furniture.
Physical DescriptionPressed Glass Pane marked "Bakewell". Colorless glass, mold-pressed. Rectangular pane, with design of Gothic arches, marked on smooth side, "BAKEWELL". Slightly irregular (not flat); with a few horizontal, wavy lines/chill marks. Some scattered light whitish haziness on the left side.
