Physical DescriptionNecklace, "Pod Necklace". Multicolored glass, waxed linen, cotton thread; flameworked glass, knotted linen and thread. Beaded necklace consisting of 46 multicolored blown and flameworked glass beads strung on a purple knotted waxed linen and cotton thread strand. One round glass bead, 3 cm diameter, is used at the back of the necklace for a button-type closure. The remaining 45 hollow teardrop-shaped glass beads with pointed tips are decorated with dots, ribbon cane, or peacock feather motifs in a variety of colors. The beads range in size from 2.5 cm to 7 cm high, and 0.8 cm to 2 cm diameter, and are arranged so that the largest beads are at the front, transitioning to the smallest beads along the sides.
