Physical DescriptionPlate Fragment. Roughly heart-shaped canes of translucent yellow-green cased with opaque white on either side of a translucent amethyst band floating in a translucent amethyst matrix, dull "sugary" surface, some pitting; mosaic glass or millefiori technique with lathe-cutting and polishing, the underside appears to be fire- polished and not lathe-ground. Fragment of a large circular plate with rounded rim and wide wheel-cut groove on upper surface of ledge, wall bends up and slopes inward gently to form body of vessel as far as preserved.Provenance
