Physical DescriptionBead, "Spring Gladiolus". Colorless, transparent greenish-blue, opaque purple, pink, white, pale yellow, green, and brown glasses, pink sapphires, peridot, white topaz, and 18 carat gold and gold foil; flameworked. Bead in the form of an ovoid vase with applied transparent greenish-blue rim; black of bead is flat. Body of vase consists of white core cased in purple glass decorated with gold foil and multicolored glasses to form abstract background for applied flowers. Centers of some flowers set with precious gemstones.
