Physical Description(A) Translucent aquamarine glass with thick white weathering crust on surface, some bubbles on back; mold pressed with suspension hole made while casting. Fragment preserves roughly half of an almost-square bead which had a long ribbed reel along either side through which suspension holes were made; between these a recessed area preserves a decorative motif of four stylized ivy leaves springing from one side. (B) Glass completely weathered to an iridescent white film, original color cannot be determined; cast in an open mold without suspension holes. Rectangular plaque, single relief border on three sides and a ribbed reel pattern below, on this sits a sphinx facing right with a spiral tail and spiral decoration on chest perhaps suggesting a tuft of hair, the caricature-like head is covered with a flat hat and long tassel flower out from the center and back to the wing tip.
