Physical DescriptionMat-su-no-ke Covered Jar. Green jade lead glass; blown, acid matted, applied decoration. Matte finish from sand-blasting or acid bath; clear rim; a) cylindrical; rounded rim, flare to rounded shoulder, taper to base, ground pontil, applied leaf and vine with floral motif; b) spherical finial tapering then flaring to center cover. Variant of shape 470.
