"Say Ah!" With the mass production of thermometer glass, every home could own a thermometer. This display box from Taylor Instruments, a Corning customer, still contains five Monroe fever thermometers, new and in original packaging.
Physical DescriptionTaylor Monroe Display Box with 5 Fever Thermometers in Original Packaging. (a) Cardboard display box. Image of woman holding a telephone while looking at a thermometer on lid; "KNOW WHEN TO CALL THE DOCTOR" inscribed beneath the woman. (b-f) Cardboard, borosilicate glass, metal, plastic, paper. Five Monroe fever thermometers (with red and white plastic cases) in original cardboard packaging. Four packages do not appear to have been opened and still contain original instructions. One package has been opened, and the original instructions are missing. Top of packages inscribed: "CERTIFIED ACCURACY / Taylor / Monroe FEVER THERMOMETER UNIVERSAL". Original cardboard reordering card included with display box.
