Source Pure Insurance - 2018-01-2018-09-25
The wineglass was lent by the collector, Richard Mones, to Mark West for exhibition in January 2018. Upon arrival, the stem was found to have broken in transit and the owner decided to claim its value on insurance. The wineglass consequently passed to the ownership of Pure Insurance, following payment.
Former Collection Richard Mones - 2015-2018-01
Richard Mones purchased goblet from Christopher Sheppard before 2015. The wineglass was lent to Mark West for exhibition in January 2018. Upon arrival, the stem was found to have broken in transit and Mones decided to claim its value on insurance. The wineglass consequently passed to the ownership of Pure Insurance, following payment.
Former Collection Christopher Sheppard (d. 2015) - 1990-2015
Goblet was with Christopher Sheppard by 1990 (John Smith suggests it was possibly acquired from the Bert Amador collection, but cannot be certain).
