Physical DescriptionAlmost colorless glass with pale yellowish fracture; blown, relief-cut. Fragment of bottle or bowl. Decorated with parts of two registers. Upper register has small part of unidentified motif, probably animal, with hatched foot or limb. Lower register has notched upper border and plain lower border, and contains frieze of animals shown in profile running toward viewer’s left. One, almost complete, animal consists of hare with pointed snout, eye represented by countersunk dot, large ear, body with notched outlines, foreleg thrust forward with leg embellished with hatching, and rounded haunch. In front of hare, tail and hind limb of another animal.Provenance
