Physical DescriptionSyrup Pitcher or Jug. Opaque white, possibly light lead glass; blown, mold-blown. Ovoid body tapering slightly from basal rim with smooth base to molded collar at base of short cylindrical neck fitted with pewter (or britainia) top with broad lip and matching cover with palmette thumbpiece; molded decoration: narrow band of vertical ribs above basal rim, dentil-edged medallion with ship Savanah on one side and, on the other, in wreath formed by sprays of grain tied at bottom, inscription (in three lines) "PEACE AND PLENTY"; applied solid loop handle.Provenance
