Physical DescriptionColorless Borosilicate glass, noble gasses, plastic, adhesive, electrical wiring/components; blown, tooled, acid-etched, assembled. (a) Colorless glass sculpture in the shape of an hourglass with twenty wavy cylindrical tentacles and one shorter central tentacle, all with bulbous tips, extending from top half; base of hourglass filled with colorless glass beads. Sculpture filled with noble gasses, which illuminate when sculpture is connected to electrical current. Glass sculpture fixed atop a colorless hollow cube base made up of plastic panels with frosted surfaces held together with plastic screws and adhesive; base has four cube feet, three patches of drilled ventilation holes, and two non-frosted cubes attached to top. Sculpture has two separate black cords with AC adapters. (b) Colorless hollow glass wand; blown, tooled, and acid-etched to produce matte finish. Wand has knopped stem and pointed central tip that is surrounded by four additional pointed tentacles. Wand contains a very small amount of loose dark powder.
