Physical DescriptionGreen glass; mold-blown; plain lip, pontil mark. Obverse: Lafayette, small profile in uniform facing right; bust is within Masonic Arch and Pillars and modified fleur-de-lis below. Reverse: American Eagle, head turned to left; shield with seven vertical bars on breast; wings partly raised and left foreshortened. Thunderbolt (two arrows) in left talons, large olive branch in right. Six cannon balls below olive branch. Above eagle seven five-pointed stars. Inscription: "GE L LA FAYETTE" in semi-circle around lower part of panel; the "N" is reverse; reverse - "WHEELING" in semi-circle above upper part of panel and "KNOX & M KEE" in semi-circle around lower part of panel. Edges: smooth.
