Physical DescriptionGeissler Tube. Colorless glass, transparent yellow uranium glass, metal, cork, light brownish liquid; lampworked. Glass tube with two bulbous ends, each containing a metal rod. One end has small pulled glass attachment. Cylindrical tube between ends contains thinner tube manipulated into serpentine shape covered in transparent yellow glass and flanked by two bulbous shapes. Outer tube has cylindrical vacuum tube sealed with cork stopper. Transparent brownish liquid fills area between inner and outer tubes.Provenance
