Physical DescriptionSpecimen of Blaschka Marine Life, "Amphiura filifomis". Glass, paint, metal wire, resin; flameworked, painted, applied. Specimen attached to card. This specimen card illustrates the developmental stages of the amphiura filifomis. Stages 1, 2, 3, and 4 illustrate pluetens -- larvae. Stages 5 and 6 illustrate embryo with larvae -- rudiments after liberation. Stages 7 and 8 illustrate young amphiura with developed arm-spines. Stage 7 is missing from the card.
