Physical DescriptionRelatively heavy clear glass with very few bubbles; free-blown, enameled and gilded. Conical body resting on a bell-shaped foot with pontil mark; body and foot has been patterned in rib mold with ribs turning to right; enamel decoration: on the obverse of the body, in multicolored enamel, the coat of arms of the Count Thun, above, "GRAF V. THUN", underneath "1636"; on the reverse a flower stalk (in Saxonian style) with three blossoms, in the empty spaces diamond-shaped motifs consisting of yellow and red dots as well as white dots and lines; the rim on the goblet, rim and top of foot gilded, below the gilded band on top and above the gilded band at the bottom a band consisting of a red line, a white beaded line and a row of scrolls accompanied by dots.
