Physical DescriptionOpaque white glass; blown in two-part mold. Body tapering towards bottom; rim outsplayed, probably fire-polished; narrow cylindrical neck; rounded shoulder; flat base. Mold-blown decoration on body; two scenes, one on each side: (a) tree with oval leaves and rounded fruit, with satchel or wineskin suspended from it; beneath tree, man seated on rock, facing right, holding animal; (b) ship with high prow and stern, single mast, sail drawn up to top spar, rigging descending from spar to hull, oars at rest; in stern, on right, diminutive helmsman; in prow, standing figure with shield; below ship, waves and fishes.Provenance
