Physical DescriptionTranslucent amethyst canes in an opaque white matrix, heavily pitted and weathered, upper surface repolished recently; mosaic glass or millefiori technique. Irregular fragment of a large panel consisting of polygonal canes with white centers surrounded by a circle of amethyst which in turn is surrounded by four concentric circles composed of amethyst dots in an opaque white matrix, these polygonal canes are placed next to each other to form an overall elaborate pattern.Provenance
