Physical DescriptionTranslucent (originally transparent) light brown extremely bubbly glass; surface dull and iridescent, few patches of iridescent scum; free blown and gilded or painted; cylindrical body with flat base having rough pontil mark, very short cylindrical neck (shape of an egg plant); surface was covered with a rich gilded and/or painted decoration, including ornamental motifs, griffins and birds only the traces of which are left (see rendering).
