Physical DescriptionVessel: transparent blue with hint of purple; bit: colorless streaked with amber; mold-blown (two gathers), rim finished at furnace, bit dropped on and tooled, underside of base ground and polished. Bottle: six-sided. Rim plain, rounded, higher at one side than other; tall, narrow cylindrical neck which splays slightly toward bottom and merges with shoulder; second gather covers shoulder and body; wall descends vertically; flat base with concave area at center. Bit applied to shoulder and drawn upward and inward toward bottom of neck; flattened and twisted tear-shaped form with pincered ribs. Acid-etched or engraved signature on underside of base: "Boda/ Atelje 325/400/ B. Vallien" (Vallien cursive). Paper label attached to shoulder: "Handmade/ Boda/ Sweden" in black on silver.
