Physical DescriptionFaint purple tint non-lead glass; blown, cut, enameled. Tapered, straight-sided bowl with thick stem; cut tapered rim; black enameled decoration on the side, including two "Turkish" figures, a woman in heavy coat and with a muff and conical hat, a man alongside wearing a turban; a dog sits on an elaborate stool before the woman; all are riding on a scrolled sleigh with peacock perched on top, drawn by an elaborately draped horse, wearing a double-headed-eagle ornament; a rifleman fires his gun before them; trees in the distance; scale faceted stem; domed thick foot with oval facets on the dome, and oval facets on the underside of the foot; polished pontil mark.Provenance
