Physical DescriptionCoppery-red bronze; stamped (minted). Flat, circular form; the obverse with a female head facing dexter, with flowers, foliage and grain in her hair, a star on top; inscribed "REPUBLIQUE/ FRANCAISE" and "OUDINE"; on the reverse, depicting a large and complicated building with gardens in front, inscribed "EXPOSITION UNIVERSELLE/PARIS 1878" and "PALAIS DU TROCADERO/ADMINO.N DES MONAIES/ET MEDAILLES/ALPHEE DUBOIS"; stamped on the rim "BRONZE".
