Physical DescriptionPossibly Fragment of Beaker with Bird. Transparent light greenish yellow over colorless. Blown, probably applied; relief-cut, drilled. Fragment of beaker(?). Wall (TTh. less than 0.2 cm) straight and vertical or nearly vertical, with patch of yellow overlay (Th. 0.1 cm). Decoration relief-cut in both yellow and colorless glasses. Yellow glass has upper part of unidentified object, shown in silhouette. Object is symmetrical about vertical axis; it is bulbous, terminates in two earlike projections at top, and has two similar projections at bottom of surviving portion. Each “ear” has one short cut, and bulbous part is covered with small circular depressions. To right of yellow object, cut in colorless glass, bird is seen standing in profile, facing left. It has long and curved beak, small head with large eye, narrow neck, and part of body. Lower neck has two horizontal cuts, outline of body is at least partly notched, and body is filled with drilled circular depressions.
