Interpretive NotesThe outside cotton surface of this ornament for the head is densely embroidered with multi-colored opaque and translucent seed beads. A band of hexagonal shapes outlines the edge of the headband; the center has a blue ground and is decorated with a symmetrical pattern of tendrils, buds, and blossoms, followed in the corner by a butterfly.
