SOVIREL was a subsidiary of Corning Glass Works (U.S.A.) and Saint-Gobain-Pont-a-Mousson (France). French PYREX® trade catalogs unavailable so could not check date of manufacture. 1980 was cataloger's best guess based on the style of decoration and colors used.
Physical DescriptionPyrex "Cinderella" Bowl. Opaque white opalware glass; red, green, gray, and brown decoration; pressed, applied decals; hemispherical shape; machine finished rim with two lips opposite each other, one lip wider than other, top of both lips pressed in and tapered down, "FRANCE" written in faded black marker on top of wider lip; bowl rounded in to base, same floral design on both halves of bowl, design of one red flower, one white flower, one flower bud, green, gray, and brown leaves, and stems; flat circular base slightly depressed; "PYREX®/ FRANCE" printed in yellow near middle of base.
