This piece was presented to Henry Clay Fry in 1867 by the Bakewell family. Fry opened his glasshouse in the Pittsburgh area at this time. The vase and decanted were symbolic of the early success of the Bakewells.

Physical DescriptionColorless lead glass; blown and cut. Cylindrical shape, flaring at top serrated rim; row of cut fans below rim; fans of strawberry diamonds above plain panels around lower half of body; applied bulbous stem; flat foot, with cut star underneath.
