Physical DescriptionFrom the series "La Maschere Italiane: Pagliaccio Tiepolesco." Opaque white and opaque black glass; hot-worked. Solid reclining (on side) figure of "lattimo" (milk) white glass with black details; depicts hump-backed male with arms bent at elbows wearing tall conical hat with up-turned crimped rim, wearing black demi-mask, fringed tunic decorated with black band, ruffled "V" collar, fluted pants, high-heeled shoes with black accent; torso rests on attached solid flat white circular disc with rough pontil. Remains of Venini white paper label.
