Physical DescriptionMonocular Telescope in Original Case. Cardboard, pale red and pale green vellum, ivory, colorless glass, turned boxwood. (a) Main tube and (b) drawtube are made of heavy card bound in colored (red and green, respectively) vellum, mounted with ivory lens cells. The main tube has silvered tooled decor, the drawtube traces of manuscript notation. (cd) Original turned boxwood case and cover.Provenance
