Physical DescriptionColorless non-lead glass; blown, threaded, pincered. (a) Slightly flared bell-shaped bowl, with trailed spiral threading on the sides; a straight tube attached to the inside, bottom, and extending above the rim; hollow baluster knop, with three trailed oval pads, one open to the knop, which is open in turn to the tube inside the bowl; three applied, curled loops applied to the bowl and knop; short capstan stem below; conical foot with folded rim; rough pontil mark. (b) Straight tube, with trailed flat rim at the open, lower, end; trailed band near the top; applied and elaborately tooled half figures of a horse with reigns and a stag with long branched antlers; the mouth of the stag open; disk finial at the center, between the two animals.Provenance
