Physical DescriptionBeaker (Stangenglas). Lightly bubbled colorless glass with greyish tinge; opaque white lattimo glass; blown, vetro a fili, vetro a retorti. Cylindrical body with fire-polished rim (possibly trimmed with straight shears), set directly on low blown pedestal foot with infolded edge and deep scar of the pontil mark. Both parts decorated with vertical lattimo canes, two thin stripes (a fili) alternating with a double twist, each part of which is made of a six-ply cable (a retorti). Each pair of plain bands shows a definite vertical air-line between them. Other than usual, the base of the bowl is slightly curved outwards.Provenance
