Physical DescriptionCovered Ewer. Colorless, presumably non-lead glass; (a) free-blown and cut, (b) pattern-molded with applied and tooled decoration. (a) Slender ovoid body with long wide neck tapering to plain rim with minute pinched lip, applied short stemmed shallow cone foot with rough pontil mark; cut decoration of lunar slices and slices forming band with three stylized daisy-like flowers on body and open-back bracelet of ovals in rows on neck; applied looped handle. (b) Stopper in form of vertically ribbed small straight-sided bottle with shoulder sloping into tapering neck terminating in large clear and sapphire knob with seven applied and waffled fins, and, to rest on rim of ewer, a wide flat flange with projection to cover lip of ewer.Provenance
