Physical DescriptionFlattened, circular form with cylindrical neck, free blown of slightly greenish colored glass. The enamel and gilt decoration is simple but extremely well executed. The decoration consists of 2 bands of Arabic characters in gilt outlined in red on a light blue ground, one around the neck, the other around the body of the flask, eight "fleur-de-lys-like" and ten "endless knot" motifs symmetrically dispersed around the body of the flask.
