Physical DescriptionTranslucent deep blue glass; opaque white glass; cast or blown; cased; cut (cameo technique); ground and polished. Fragment from near base of skyphos; wall curves inward and thickens as it approaches bottom. Decoration consists of ground line (0.5 cm. wide), above which is pillar or similar structure with stepped base, plinth with molding at top and superstructure of indeterminate form; to left of plinth, low feature supporting tray (?) with pine cone and other offerings, perhaps fruits. Exterior polished below ground line; interior has concentric striations made by grinding on lathe.Provenance
