Physical DescriptionAmethystine tinge glass; mold-blown; tooled lip, pontil mark, lead glass. Obverse: Masonic decoration, similar to GIV-17 except bricks forming pavement are smaller and twenty-eight in number. Square and compasses within pillars smaller. Blazing sun smaller and what appears to be spade instead of trowel at left of column and skull rest on end of one of the crossbones. Also seven five-pointed stars surround quarter moon instead of five and moon points upward to right instead of to left. At right of pillar small emblem which may be intended for comet. Reverse: American Eagle similar to GIV-17 except shield on breast smaller with horizontal and vertical bars instead of stars. Plain ribbon above eagle. Large oval frame containing date "1829" below eagle. Edges: single narrow vertical rib.
