Interpretive NotesThis sparkling, lead glass vessel was used as a wineglass, and its shape is based on a German type used for white wine. that of medieval goblets. The cup is decorated with nipt-diamond-waies, a diamond pattern formed by manipulating adjacent vertical ribs with pincers. The A raven’s head seal can be seen among the raspberry prunts on the stem of the goblet.
