Physical DescriptionColorless, brown (striated as if silver stained) lead glasses; blown, cased, carved or sandblasted, acid-etched, cut, wheel-carved, engraved (possible diamond-point scratching). Ovoid bowl with etched background and opaque decoration; lipless rim cut into two wide scallops with a rounded point rising from both narrow ends, exterior of each tip has patch of irregular wheel-engraving; each broad side of the vessel is decorated with overlaid and cut (very slight relief) silhouette decoration of a reclining horned bull (one front leg outstretched, the other bent back), a small bird faces the bull in front, another perches on the rump, and a third faces the tail of the bull, this same pattern is reversed on the other long side, one of the bulls has scratched detailing on head as does the bird it faces, circular wheel-engraved patch in front of outstretched leg of the bull; rounded base ground flat, no pontil; inscribed in block letters: "HALD Ofs 1950".Provenance
