Physical DescriptionDeep green glass; mold-blown; plain lip, pontil mark. Obverse: three-quarter view of Taylor facing right, in uniform. Bust entirely different from any other Taylor flask. Hair very fine so that head appears almost bald. Large eight-pointed star below bust. Reverse: American Eagle, head turned to left; shield with eight vertical and three horizontal bars on breast; wings partly raised and neither foreshortened, feathers appear very fine. Thunderbolt (three arrows) in left talons, olive branch in right; branch consists of three leaves the lower two in form of loops. Thirteen fairly large five-pointed stars grouped above eagle. Inscription: "ROUGH AND READY" in a semi-circle above bust; reverse - "MASTERSON" in semi-circle above stars. Edges: horizontally corrugated with vertical medial rib.
