Physical DescriptionComposite Jar. (1) Rim and upper wall: translucent light purple and opaque pale turquoise; blown, with applied trail. (2) Lower wall and base: translucent deep purple and opaque white; blown, with applied, dragged, and marvered trail.

Jar composed of parts of two vessels: (1) rim and upper wall, and (2) lower wall and base. (1) Rim everted, with rounded lip; upper wall straight and tapering. Rim and wall are decorated with single trail wound at least six times around circumference. (2) Lower wall straight and tapering; base flat, with purple wrap around edge; pontil mark roughly circular (W. 0.9 cm). Underside of base and lower wall are decorated with single trail wound spirally, with three revolutions on base and at least five revolutions on wall, where trail was dragged alternately up six times and down six times to produce feathered pattern.

(1) Consists of entire rim and uppermost part of wall; (2) consists of lower wall and entire base. They are attached by adhesive and some unidentified material, which is painted (unsuccessfully) to resemble glass with marvered decoration and is sprinkled with flakes of iridescent weathering. (1) is almost matte and covered with pale gray to brownish weathering; (2) is dull, with traces of weathering.
