Physical DescriptionTransparent deep olive green glass, with transparent deep green trail and handles; body blown in one-piece mold, with applied trail and handles, wheel-abraded decoration. Cylindrical shape with two handles; shallow funnel mouth, with plain rounded lip and continuous horizontal trail just below it; cylindrical neck, splaying at bottom; shoulder slopes, with rounded edge that overhangs wall very slightly; wall descends vertically for two-thirds of height, then tapers, with bulbous knop at tip; two opposed, four-ribbed handles, each dropped on to edge of shoulder, drawn up and slightly out to level of trail below lip, then bent in and down, and reattached to bottom of mouth, with excess glass drawn up to lip; wheel-abraded decoration, carelessly executed, extending from shortly below shoulder to just below point at which wall begins to taper; four pairs of continuous horizontal lines at regular intervals (bottom pair is very faint), alternating with three horizontal bands of linear and faceted ornament (from top): (1) band, width about 2.5 cm, of eight vertical oval facets alternating with eight motifs that have two or three parallel vertical lines between two parallel horizontal lines; (2) band, width about 1.5 cm, of 28 small vertical oval facets, (3) as (1).Provenance
