(a) Circular shape, with curved sides and flared rim; decorated with vertical ribbing; the interior white, the exterior covered with swirled purple speckling; applied white loop handle with curled lower terminal; trailed white foot ring; rough pontil mark. (b) Shallow, circular shape, with upcurved sides; molded radial ribbing; white interior, swirled purple speckling on the exterior, as on (a); trailed white foot ring; rough pontil mark; rectangular paper label with serrated edge, printed "449" in black, on top of another label with serrated edges on two sides, inscribed in ink "5378/40-".Provenance
