Physical DescriptionBowl. Colorless, translucent pale blue, deep blue, purple and opaque white glasses; cast from preformed mosaic glass canes. Hemispherical shape; rim not finished; formed from six types of mosaic glass cane: (1) spirally wound white and deep blue in purple matrix; (2) spirally wound white and purple in colorless matrix; (3) purple bull's eye surrounded by white with deep blue zigzag, in purple matrix; (4) spirally wound white with purple twist in colorless matrix; (5) spirally wound white and deep blue in colorless matrix; (6) white star with colorless and purple center, in pale blue matrix; canes arranged in following pattern: at center, open square formed by two to three rows of type 3, containing cross made of two rows of type 1, with areas between each pair of arms filled with type 2; around square, two rows of type 4 which make a squarish figure with concave sides; above each side, oval patch of type 5, one cane deep at ends and three canes deep at center; outside these, two rows of type 3 canes which make continuous band around wall, and above this one row of type 6.
