Physical DescriptionBands of opaque white cased with bands of translucent greenish-aquamarine and amethyst glass, also round canes with opaque white centers, concentric opaque white lines in a greenish-aquamarine matrix with some opaque yellow dots forming a concentric ring in some elements, thick iridescent weathering crust over entire surface; mosaic glass or millefiori technique, subsequently polished. Fragment preserves floor, wall and hook or horned section of an elaborate handle from a small rectangular tray handle, and adjacent wall is formed of millefiori canes while the body of the vessel seems to be fabricated from ribbon glass.Provenance
