Physical Description(a) Colorless lead glass enclosing a molded sulphide; enameled and gilded metal frame. Circular metal frame, surmounted by a crown with pendant ring, border of the frame formed as a garter, with pendant strap, inscribed "THE · FLORIOUS · MEMORY · 1688" on a dark blue enamel ground; holds a thin, convex glass disc which encloses a finely detailed representation of an equestrian statue, plinth inscribed "GVLIELMVS III", a rose, thistle and shamrock spray below. (b) Leather, wood (?) and cloth; metal hinges and hooks. Pointed oval, flat leather-covered, hinged case with fabric lining.Provenance
