Physical DescriptionTransparent light grayish green glass, with many small bubbles (elongated in neck) and stone; blown, spout applied and inflated, decoration applied. Flask: roughly globular, with spout. Tall, funnel-shaped mouth, with plain, rounded rim; cylindrical neck which splays slightly toward bottom, then is constricted; sloping shoulder, with rounded edge; walls tapers and curves inward at bottom; base plain, with low kick; no pontil mark. Tubular spout dropped onto edge of shoulder as blob of molten glass, then drawn out and inflated, and cracked off. Mouth and top of neck decorated with single trail which was applied to lower mouth and wound spirally, first downward in three revolutions, then upward in twelve revolutions until it was 0.8 cm below lip. Shoulder is deformed, with irregular "ripple" (L. about 4 cm) extending across surface of shoulder and upper wall.Provenance
