Physical DescriptionPaperweight with Encased Overlay and Yellow Flower. Colorless, green, white, orange, pink lead glasses; flameworked; fused murrine; furnace-worked; double-cased overlay; cut. Domed, circular shape, of colorless glass; transparent light green overlay with large cut circular facet on top, and twelve oval facets on the sides, arranged in two alternating rows of six, each; encasing a double overlay, green over white, cut in a pattern of intersecting arcs and oval windows; encasing a pink and white spiral-striped cushion, with a lampworked multi-petaled flower and bud on top, with yellow-orange petals, millefiori cane inscribed "P" in the center of the flower, with green leaves and stem; polished flat base, with polished concave pontil mark; rectangular paper sticker with rounded corners, printed "PERTHSHIRE / PAPERWEIGHTS / CRIEFF / SCOTLAND" and "PP" trademark; white millefiori cane in the bottom, with blue inscription "1978 / P".Provenance
