Physical DescriptionBowl. Translucent reddish purple, with small bubbles and one stone; opaque white. Blown; trailed, dragged, and marvered. Rim plain, with rounded lip; wall curves down and in, then sharply in at bottom; very shallow, hollow stem between bottom of wall and base; base has tubular edge made by folding and concave underside with corresponding dome pushed through stem on interior; pontil mark circular (D. 1 cm). Decorated with single trail wound around parison about 21 times and now extending from point of attachment at center of base to rim; trail was dragged upward 17 times to produce irregular feathered effect with tool marks curving upward from right to left.Provenance
