Physical DescriptionAlmost colorless, with green tinge; very few minute bubbles. Mold-blown; linear-cut. Cup: roughly cylindrical. Rim plain, with bevel on inside; wall straight, tapering slightly, then tapering sharply before curving down and in to bottom; base plain; no pontil mark. Wall has linear decoration (from top to bottom): 2.2–2.7 cm below lip, two continuous horizontal ribs separated by groove; at point where profile changes, one continuous horizontal groove; on lower part and at bottom of curved section, narrow vertical “step.” Underside of base has one line of Kufic inscription intended to be read from the inside: “camal c Ibra¯n” (the work of c Ibra¯n)
