Physical DescriptionChess Piece: Pawn. Opaque deep green, with opaque red trail. Hot-worked on pontil; applied, dragged, marvered. Chess piece: solid. Upper one-third conical; lower two-thirds cylindrical, but slightly wider at bottom than at top; pontil mark circular (D. 0.6 cm). Decorated with trail that was dropped onto bottom of side and wound spirally eight times around entire cylinder and lower part of cone, dragged to form 12 contiguous vertical or sloping festoons, and marvered.
