Physical DescriptionTranslucent medium to deep blue glass with translucent pale purple handles; mold blown (bottom of neck and body blown in mold with two vertical sections), handles applied. Bulbous bottle with two opposed handles. Rim folded out, up, and in, then flattened; neck cylindrical; wall steps in at bottom; base plain. Wall decorated with three friezes: at top, 26 downward pointing tongues in raised outline; at center, continuous band of tendril scrolls with narrow boders above and below; at bottom: about 28 upward pointing scrolls in raised outline. Continuous mold seam runs from bottom of neck, down wall, across underside of base, and back to bottom of neck, roughly half way between handles. Handles dropped onto shoulder, drawn up and in, and attached to mid- or upper neck.
